I commend this author for writing such a high-quality debut. Impressive indeed! The narration reminded me of classic first person POV speculative tales like The Time Machine or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, only smoother and more accessible to contemporary readers. The main character was likeable, and his slow burn relationship with Theodore was very nicely handled. A compelling plot and well developed setting added even more to my enjoyment. I look forward to reading more by this author.
